Process system risk analyses

AL Safety Design offers risk analysis and RAM modeling for process system.

Risk and Safety analysis Reliability Modeling: RAM/ RCM/ LCC
Risk Analysis RAM

Risk and Safety analyses:

A risk analysis is needed for the fulfillment of the safety standards. Typically this is completed in the following steps:

  • Analysis scope, organization and leading the project
  • Preliminary risk analysis and detailed risk analyses (Hazop, FMEA etc)
  • Risk classification and SIL
  • System improvements: Risk removal and change control
  • Reporting: intermediate and final reports
  • Contacts with authorities or certification bodies

We have developed our own effective tools and procedures for analysis and reporting. This allows your system designers to take actions in time.

Functional Safety (EN 61508, EN 62061, EN 13849): see our 'Conformance Engineering' page.

Reliability Engineering, RAM Analysis:

RAM model of a system predicts potential production losses and pinpoints the 'bottleneck' equipment ('Top 10 lists'). It can be used further in RCM and LCC analyses of systems. (RCM= Reliability Centered Maintenance, LCC= Life Cycle Costs).

We have developed effective methods and tools for

  • RAM data collection
  • RAM/ RCM/ LCC analysis and
  • reporting.

In modeling we use generic RAM data from different sources or we can arrange tailored data collection campaigns. The analysis results are readily available to support designing of safe, reliable and optimized process systems.

We have modeled power plants, chemical processes, wind power, fuel cells, biopower, oil refineries, paper machines, heavy machinery, transportation systems, control systems etc.
